Mexico U-20 will participate in the Toulon tournament later this month (May 28-June 4). The format has changed from the previous years; there will be two groups with five teams, and the top two teams from the groups play in the final. Mexico is grouped with Nigeria, Belgium, Portugal, and Brazil.
Chepo de la Torre made his way to Europe this week to meet with Mexican players abroad. After his statements about returning to El Tri, will Vela be on the list to meet with for Chepo?
Mexico is rumored to be in talks with Ivory Coast for a friendly this August (MetLife Stadium).

Any idea what squad will be at the Toulon tournament this year ? considering all the diffenet things going on.
nice, very good squad for el tri u20. I sure hope we take the tournament again but this years teams in Toulon look even harder but better for experience. Ive been waiting for Vela’s return to el Tri as my favorite player from Mexico. But will take some time to forgive him after his stuck up manors when he was here for a friendly. No love for the only Mexican supporter in the stance as he was only 5 feet away from me hahaha
It will take time. But let us not forget that is there was a problem, it may have also been because of another player. What I heard was Salcido got off scott free for the same thing that Vela was suspended for. But as long as Vela returns, the healing (and scoring) can begin!

I agree, Vela’s return would be very exciting. As for Toulon, I believe it will be the same U-20 with a few additional players (Candido).
