Hector Moreno (Espanyol)– Moreno played all 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw against Betis. Next: Granada 9/15 La Liga

Javier Aguirre(Espanyol)– Aguirre’s team earned one point in the 0-0 draw against Real Betis. Next: Granada 9/15 La Liga

Andres Guardado (Valencia)– Guardado started and played all 90 minutes at left back in the 2-3 win against Barcelona. Next: Bestis 9/15 La Liga

Jonathan Dos Santos (Barcelona )– Dos Santos was an 80th minute substitute in the 3-2 win against Valencia. He did not make the squad for the second leg of the Spanish SuperCup against Atletico Madrid. Barcelona were draw into group H with Ajax, AC Milan, and Celtic. Next: Sevilla 9/14 La Liga

Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad)-Vela scored twice(67′ and 90+’) during the second leg of Champions League qualifying against Lyon. Real Sociedad return to the Champions League and will play in group A with Shakhtar, Bayern Leverkusen, and Manchester United. He played all 90 minutes in the 2-1 loss to Atletico Madrid. Giovani Dos Santos (Villarreal)– Dos Santos returned tot he field after recovering from a slight injury. He was subbed in during the 63rd minute and contributed with an assist during Villarreal’s 3-0 win against Osasuna. Villarreal maintain their 100% start to the season. Next:Real Madrid 9/14 La Liga

Javier Aquino(Villarreal)– Aquino played all 90 minutes and scored his first top goal in la liga. He scored in the 30th minute during the 3-0 win against Osasuna. Next: Real Madrid 9/14 La Liga

Nery Castillo(Rayo Vallecano)– Castillo remains out with injury and did not play in the 1-2 loss against Levante. Next: Malaga 9/15 La Liga

Anibal Zurdo(Sabadell)– Anibal played all 90 minutes in the 3-0 win against Deportivo. Next: Alaves 8/7 or 8/8 Liga Adelante

ENGLAND

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (Manchester United)– Hernandez made his comeback from injury with a substitution into the game in the 73rd minute. United lost 1-0 to Liverpool. Manchester United were drawn into group A with Shakhtar, Bayern Leverkusen, and Real Sociedad. Next:Crystal Palace 9/14 Premier League

FRANCE

Guillermo Ochoa(Ajaccio)-Ochoa played all 90 minutes during the 0-0 draw against Sochaux. Next: Evian 9/14 La Ligue.

Portugal

Diego Reyes(Porto)– Reyes was not called to the first squad for the 1-0 win against Ferreira. He received all 90 minutes for the Porto B game against Desportivo Aves. Next: Gil Vicente 9/15 Primeira Liga

Hector Herrera(Porto)– Herrera remained on the bench during the 1-0 win against Ferreira. Next: Gil Vicente 9/15 Primeira Liga

*Porto are in Group G of the Champions League with FC Zenit, FK Austria Wien, and Atletico Madrid.

USA

Erick Torres(Chivas USA)-Torres played all 90 minutes and carried on last week’s with two goals for Chivas USA in the 3rd and 14th minutes. Chivas were unable to capitalize on their lead and ended with a 2-2 draw against Vancouver. Next: Seattle 9/4 MLS

Richard Sanchez(Fort Lauderdale Strikers)-Sanchez started for the second week and kept a clean sheet once more as the Strikers defeated the Carolina Railhawks 1-0 in the NASL.

Rumors

Ulises Davila-Cordoba will be Davila’s new home for the season. His rep confirmed the move to ESPN and the final deals remain to be hashed out.

Jesus ‘Tecatito’ Corona(Twente)– Corona returned to Mexico to sort out personal details. He also needs to sort out visa issues which will take about a week. After sorting things out, he will return to Holland.
