    1. It’s been rumored for quite a while. Dos Santos gave an interview a few weeks back where he said that his stay at Barcelona was going to be reevaluated at the end of this season and that if he left it’d be for the Premier League. Definitely seems like a possibility though.

  1. Guardado’s name is missing the “o” at the end of his name. Is Espanyol in the running for a Europa League spot? If so, what an AMAZING job Aguirre and Tena have done with Espanyol!

    Great job, Andrea!!!

    1. Good eye! Thanks for pointing it out.

They do have the possibility of fighting for a Europa League spot, but Aguirre said he had to talk to the team first. I imagine that many will say “Yes, let’s fight for it” even though the immediate goal was to not get relegated. It can push up their individual values and give them that international experience. Aguirre also has to hash out terms for his own contract. He was brought in to save the team for the most part. I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t renew him on the club end since he’s done a pretty good job so far.

A team we should be watching is Vela’s Real Sociedad. They’re currently in 4th and ready to go on the Champions League(leaving out Guardado and Valencia in the process).

      1. I know. I saw that. If Athletico was out they would both be in, but credit to them for keeping up with Barca for a while. I would love to see both of them on CL, but it probably won’t happen. Hope more Mexicans can get that experience!

  2. Rumor says Atleti are interested in Raúl Jiménez. That would be awesome. I’m an Atleti and América fan and Jiménez is one of my favorite players. I think it would be great for Jiménez. He could improve a lot under a manager like Cholo Simeone. Jiménez would only get better.

    1. That’d be a great move for Jimenez. I’m not sure it’d happen this summer though. Christian Benitez is also rumored to make a move abroad and if that happens then I imagine Jimenez will be kept by America.
