  1. Don’t forget Gold Cup 2013: July 7-July 28

Mexico vs USA at the Azteca is on my birthday. Hopefully they win for me. Lol. This can be one of the most successful years for El Tri. Can’t wait.

  2. Very good year its going to be for el tri. If they go through and win all games or maybe 1 loss if that, they can be ready for a confederations cup and world cup final. They have took over concacaf already and definitely from when Chepos started. They also dominated Brazil as of recently an with out our best formation yet, they will be a top class team soon. lts going to be a good 2013-14.

    1. Some people don’t want El Tri to play in Arizona because of some of the events that have seemed to specifically target Hispanics over the last few years. There’s the whole SB1070 ordeal a few years back that was passed that generally wasn’t very friendly. It was basically known to many as a “if you look Hispanic, you can be stopped by law enforcement” type of thing. We(I’m from AZ) also have a pretty tough Sheriff(Joe Arpaio) that is often in the news for a negative relationship with the Hispanic community.

I think many are upset because the game will leave AZ money and that money will primarily come from Hispanic consumers.

I’m certain it won’t be cancelled. There are calls for boycotts every time a Hispanic artist comes to Arizona and they go through with their performances.

      1. Truth be told, I wouldn’t mind boycotting this game because of the way Arizona treats its Hispanics. They Ostracize and Harrass us, and the. Turn around and make a buck from us. I also probably sound paranoid, but I don’t expect the police at the event to be very friendly

      2. I think that’s the sentiment behind the movement. It’ll be interesting to see law enforcement response. If people are truly being discriminated on looks then how will they be differentiated in what will most likely be a Hispanic crowd? Every person can’t be stopped and checked for legal documentation so it will be interesting to see. Hopefully things don’t get rowdy because that wouldn’t help the situation.

      3. If we boycott AZ you have to boycott the entire USA as well. Xenophobia and insensitivity isn’t just phoenix, it’s all over the country. And honestly there are a lot of Mexicans in AZ who want to see Mexico play.

      4. Thanks for the info. I knew this as happening, but to this extent? I have a buddy in AZ, I hope he isn’t being hassled for this stuff. It is such a shame that it is happening there and like Bryan says all over the US.Either way, may Mexico and Denmark have a good, safe game and may Mexico win 🙂 As for the people in the stands, good luck to you. Such a pity…

  3. Mexico is playing like Chet. With zero adjustments in cup and losing to A UNDERDEVELOPED team like panama twice. Things are looking really bad.

Raul Jimenez is a joke. Reminds me of Bofo and chepo never replaced him.

Please use ur 2011 gold cup championship team in ur next games…or else mex will be watching the WC from home.

      1. Did u see him play during the gold cup??
He kept tripping over his own legs..

Plenty of promise…perhaps but there is NO time for that now..its MUST win time.
With the WC around the corner.

      2. He was also one of the only players to score for Mexico in the GC. He continues to score for América and is on radar to go abroad…he only adds to our depth at striker and at a young age
