Mexicans Abroad 2/9-2/10

Check out what the Mexicans abroad were up to this week!


Hector Moreno (Espanyol)– Moreno played 90 minutes and scored a goal in the 28th minute during Espanyol’s 4-0 win against Athletic Bilbao. Next: Betis 2/17 La Liga

Javier Aguirre& Alfredo Tena(Espanyol)– Aguirre led Espanyol to a 4-0 win against Athletic Bilbao. Next: Betis 2/17 La Liga

Andres Guardado (Valencia)– Guardado was rested for the 1-0 win against Celta Vigo after doing some midweek international travel. Next: PSG 2/12 Champions League; Mallorca 2/17 La Liga

Jonathan Dos Santos (Barcelona )– Injured, but resumed training. Next: Granada 2/16 La Liga.

Anibal Zurdo(Sabadell)– Came in for Davila in the 57th minute during the 5-1 loss to Almeria. Next: RM Castilla 2/15

Ulises Davila(Sabadell)– Davila played 57 minutes in the 5-1 loss to Almeria. He sustained a finger injury and will be out for approximately 20 days. Next: Almeria 2/15

Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad)– Vela played 73 minutes and provided an assist during the 2-1 win against Real Zaragoza.Next: Levante 2/17 La Liga.

Giovani Dos Santos (Mallorca)– Dos Santos played all 90 minutes during the 1-1 draw against Osasuna. He scored in the closing moments, but his goal was ruled offside. Mallorca currently sit in 19th place. Next:Valencia 2/17 La Liga

Javier Aquino(Villarreal)– Aquino traveled to Spain and officially joined Villarreal.



Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (Manchester United)– Chicharito remained on the bench during the 2-0 win against Everton. Next: Real Madrid 2/13 Champions League; Reading 2/18 FA Cup


Guillermo Ochoa(Ajaccio)– Ochoa played 90 minutes in the 1-0 win against Bordeaux. Additionally, congratulations to the goalkeeper on the birth of his daughter. Next: Brest 2/16 La Ligue.


Diego Reyes(America) will play with F.C. Porto starting with the 2013-2014 season. He’s signed a contract for 5 years.

Hector Herrera-(Pachuca) will play with Porto.

Pedro Arce(Anagenisi Giannitsa)- Arce signed for Veria FC on a three-year contract but was loaned out to Anagenisi Giannitsa(lower league) due to work permit issues and foreign players occupying spots on the original team.
