Confirmed

Diego Reyes(America) will play with F.C. Porto starting with the 2013-2014 season. He’s signed a contract for 5 years.

Hector Herrera- Pachuca VP, Andres Fassi, confirmed that Herrera will join a Portuguese team in June. The terms have only been oral so far, and the team will be announced once things have become legal. Reports have placed him at Porto based on comments made by Pachuca president Jesus Martinez in December. Congratulations to another Olympic champ making his way to Europe! UPDATE: Although he confirmed to Excelsior, he later said that the team wasn’t Porto. However, Diego Reyes said that he knew that Herrera was for sure moving to Porto confirming the news.

Javier Aquino(Villarreal)-Aquino signed with Villarreal of Spain’s Segunda and will join them after the hexagonal game against Jamaica on February 6.

Rumors

Jürgen Damm, from Tecos, is being linked to a trial with Manchester United and Real Oviedo. He has a EU passport via his father. Oviedo is a Spanish Segunda club that had most of its shares recently bought by Mexican business man Carlos Slim.

Wigan is reportedly after Aldo de Nigris.

Hiram Mier is the next Olympic medalist ready to ship out. Liverpool is the one that has been reported to be after him with the player confirming that there has been some approach but that there is nothing official.

  1. Great news to see my favorite palyer Gio doing good in a small club. But Gio should be at a top club like Milan,man utd etc….

  2. Congrats to Aquino and I wish him good luck at his new club El Submarino Amarillo. I want to say that Cruz Azul deserves some recognition for letting Aquino follow his European dream. It’s great that the board didn’t make any trouble into his transfer unlike Xolos who didn’t let Riascos go to Stuttgart but that’s another subject.

  3. I heard about a special clause in Aquino’s contract that says that if Villarreal don’t get promoted this season then they will have to send him on loan to another team that plays in the Primera I assume.
