Mexicans Abroad 7/21-7/22

The teams are gearing up for the start of the season. See some of the most recent moves of the Mexicans Abroad!


Hector Moreno (Espanyol) – Moreno entered the 3-1 preseason win against Olot as a substitute.

Andres Guardado (Valencia)– Guardado played the second half during the 4-0 preseason win against Rodinghausen.

Jonathan Dos Santos (Barcelona )– Dos Santos reported to Barcelona’s first team earlier this week for preseason training.

Anibal Zurdo(Sabadell)– Zurdo will play with Sabadell for the next two seasons. He made his debut during the second half of the 2-1 preseason loss to Sant Andreu.

Ulises Davila(Sabadell)– Davila will play the upcoming season with Sabadell after being unable to secure a visa to stay with Chelsea. He played the second half during the 2-1 preseason loss to Sant Andreu.

Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad)– Vela signed a four-year deal with Sociedad. He was given the number 11 jersey for the upcoming season.

La Real paid the London club three million Euros for the striker. However, the gunners have the option to buy back the player at the end of each of those seasons. If Vela is sold to a third team, Real Sociedad and Arsenal will split the earnings over three million Euros at 50%


Giovani Dos Santos (Tottenham)– Dos Santos’ future with Tottenham has yet to be determined.

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (Manchester United)– Chicharito has been on a preseason tour with Manchester United. He played 67 minutes In the 1-1 draw against Ajax Cape Town.


Guillermo Ochoa(Ajaccio)– Ochoa played all 90 minutes during the 0-0 draw against Toulouse.


Francisco ‘Maza’ Rodriguez (Stuttgart) – Preseason training.


Edson Rivera(Braga)– Rivera has been sent to the reserve team.


Jose Manuel Rivera(RoPS)– Rivera played all 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw against JIPPO. RoPS is currently at the top of the table of the second division league in Finland.

Alan Avila is on a try-out with Alcorcon in Spain.

Jesus Martinez, Pachuca’s president, said that Manchester United has
been watching Hector Herrera.
