Several of the Mexican national teams have been busy at work. The U-23 Olympic team has been busy participating at the Toulon Tournament of Hope in France as part of their preparation for the upcoming Olympics.
On Wednesday they defeated the Netherlands 4-2 to earn their first appearance in the final of the tournament. Hector Herrera, Candido Ramirez, Raul Jimenez, and Marco Fabian helped turn the score deficit twice for the eventual victory.
Meanwhile, the U-20 team(with several players from the World Cup winning U-17 squad) participated in the ADO Den Haag tournament in The Netherlands. The tournament consisted of several club teams and national teams as guests. Martin Galvan walked away from the tournament with a personal trophy for ‘Best of the Tournament.’
The U-23 defeated Morocco in their opening game with a 4-3 score line, where Marco Fabian scored a hat trick to give Mexico the win. Next they faced the home team, France, where they lost 3-1 with a lone goal from Fabian.
Mexico then faces Belarus with a draw enough to get the team through to the semifinals. The squad ran in to some trouble throughout the game, but managed to pull level in to the second half with a goal from Fabian. It was Fabian again that added the winner in added time to seal a win and passage in to the next round.

The U-20 played the ADO Den Haag tournament and began with a win over the U-20 Kazakhstan national team(3-0). The next day they faced and defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach(3-0). They jumped into their third game and second of the day against Brugge where they lost(2-1).
They next faced the U-20 Scottish national team and won 2-1.
The team met up with a previous opponent, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and managed to get a similar outcome. They defeated the German team 1-0.
Martin Galvan won ‘Most Valuable Player’ of the tournament.
