Mexicans Abroad 5/5-5/6

Leagues are starting to wrap up in Europe, and the Mexicans abroad are putting in their last performances.

Others, like Manuel Rivera in Finland, are just getting started.

SPAIN

Pablo Barrera(Real Zaragoza)– Barrera was not called for the 2-1 win against Racing Santander. Zaragoza is currently in the relegation zone. Next game: 5/13 Getafe

Hector Moreno (Espanyol) – Moreno played all 90 minutes in the 4-0 loss to Barcelona. Next game: 5/13 Sevilla

Taufic Guarch(Espanyol B)– Guarch was not called to play during the 3-2 win against Vic.

Andres Guardado (Deportivo la Coruña)– Guardado played 78 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Valladolid and helped his team earn a point via penalty in the 24th minute. Next: Numancia

Jonathan Dos Santos (Barcelona )– Dos Santos played all 90 minutes during the 1-0 loss to Elche. Next: Almeria

Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad) – Vela played all 90 minutes during the 1-0 loss against Osasuna. Next: 5/12 Valencia

Anibal Zurdo(Guadalajara)– Zurdo played all 90 minutes in the 1-4 loss to Girona. He also received a yellow card in the 34th minute. Next: 5/12 Murcia

ENGLAND

Giovani Dos Santos (Tottenham)– Giovani Dos Santos once again made the bench; however he did not see any time on the field during Tottenham’s 1-1 draw against Aston Villa. Next: 5/13 Fulham

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (Manchester United)– Hernandez played all 90 minutes in the 2-0 win against Swansea City. United currently sit in second place, behind Manchester City, based on goal differential. Next: 5/13 Sunderland

Antonio Pedroza(Crystal Palace)– The Championship’s calendar finished.

Ulises Davila(Chelsea)– Davila is back with Chelsea.

FRANCE

Guillermo Ochoa(Ajaccio)– Ochoa played all 90 minutes in the 2-1 loss to Evian. Ajaccio currently sit just above the relegation zone with 37 points.

GERMANY

Francisco ‘Maza’ Rodriguez (Stuttgart) – ‘Maza’ played all 90 minutes in the 3-2 win against Wolfsburg and helped spur a comeback with an equalizer in the 77th minute. Stuttgart ends the season in sixth place and gains a spot in the qualifiers of the Europa League.

SCOTLAND

Efrain Juarez(Celtic)– Juarez was not called for the 1-0 loss to Dundee.

PORTUGAL

Edson Rivera(Braga)– Rivera was not called for the 1-0 win against Beira Mar.

GREECE

Nery Castillo (Aris)– Season has ended.

Finland

Jose Manuel Rivera(RoPS)– Rivera scored his first goal of the season during the 33rd minute in the 2-0 win against FC Hammeenlinna.

Rumors

Jonathan Dos Santos is expected to make a permanent move to Barcelona’s first team under new coach Tito Vilanova.

Javier Aguirre also spoke this week about how he has offers to coach in Europe, but not Spain where he hopes to continue.

  1. So does that mean Davila is gonna be playing with Chelsea’s first team next season?
    Also what’s the news for Barrera is he gonna just go back to West Ham once the loan is over?

    1. That seems like what they have in mind, but the recall was sort of a trial period to see if he’s ready.

      Barrera’s loan is up at the end of the season. There’s almost no chance that Zaragoza want to buy him, so he’ll head back to West Ham.

You know, I went over to goal.com and I am really relieved that this site doesn’t have all of those hateful comments that the USNMT or Argentinian fans have for our player’s abroad.
