Pablo Barrera(Real Zaragoza)– Barrera was not called to the 2-0 win against Athletic. He was left off the team sheet for the game against Levante as well. Next game: Racing 5/5

Hector Moreno (Espanyol) – Moreno played all 90 minutes in the 3-0 loss to Sporting Gijon over the weekend where he also received a yellow card. He stayed on the bench for the 2-1 loss to Granada. Next game: 5/5 Barcelona

Taufic Guarch(Espanyol B)– Was not called for the 4-2 win against Rubi.

Andres Guardado (Deportivo la Coruña)– Guardado did not play in the 2-0 loss to Almeria due to a muscle strain. Next: Valladolid.

Jonathan Dos Santos (Barcelona )– Dos Santos played all 90 minutes in the 4-1 loss to Celta. Next: Elche 5/5

Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad) – Vela played 69 minutes in the 3-0 win against Racing. He was sent in to the game in the 80th minute and scored an added time equalizer for the 1-1 draw against Atletico. Next: Osasuna 5/5

Anibal Zurdo(Guadalajara)– Zurdo played all 90 minutes in the 3-2 loss to Cordoba. Next: Girona 5/5

ENGLAND

Giovani Dos Santos (Tottenham)– Dos Santos made a six minute appearance in the 2-0 win against Blackburn.
He remained on the bench during Spurs’ 4-1 win against Bolton on Wednesday.

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (Manchester United)– Hernandez remained on the bench for the 1-0 loss to Manchester City. United now sit second in the table below City on goal differential. Next: Swansea 5/6

Antonio Pedroza(Crystal Palace)– Pedroza entered the game in the 54th minute in the 1-2 loss to Cardiff.

FRANCE

Guillermo Ochoa(Ajaccio)– Ochoa played all 90 minutes during the 3-1 loss to Rennes. He played all 90 minutes against during the 2-1 win against Sochaux midweek. Ajaccio currently sits above the relegation zone with 37 points. Next: Evian 5/6

GERMANY

Francisco ‘Maza’ Rodriguez (Stuttgart) – ‘Maza’ played all 90 minutes in the 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich. Next: Wolfsburg 5/5

SCOTLAND

Efrain Juarez(Celtic)– Juarez was not called for the 3-0 derby win against Rangers. Next: St. Johnstone 5/3; Dundee United 5/6

PORTUGAL

Edson Rivera(Braga)– Rivera was not called for the match against Olhanense. Next: Beira Mar 5/5

GREECE

Nery Castillo (Aris)– Season has ended.

NETHERLANDS

Ulises Davila(Vitesse)– Davila made the bench during the 3-2 win against Excelsior, but it seemed more like a good-bye gesture from Vitesse as Davila has been called to London for an evaluation.

Finland

Jose Manuel Rivera– The season has officially started in Finland and Rivera played all 90 minutes in the match against Oulu.

Rumors

The Daily Mail wrote that several clubs around Europe are interested in Giovani. He is also being offered as a bargaining chip by Tottenham for other players.

Carlos Vela is also being pursued by clubs in Spain, with Betis also voicing their admiration.

In an interview with Televisa, Olympic coach Luis Fernando Tena said that Sir Alex Ferguson mentioned a couple of Mexican players that he was following.

One of those players could be Diego Reyes(Alan Pulido has also been mentioned in connection to United). America’s President Ricardo Pelaez said that there had been interest from European teams.

  1. Well the quality of their report has certainly suffered since you left. You guys have such a great site! Let’s hope your next report has some more goals for Vela, a start (and goals) for Chicharito, and some minutes for Gio.
